Purdue IISE has over 250 members and is one of the largest IISE chapters in the nation. From professional development workshops to networking opportunities, we host a wide variety events every semester. As a board member, you will be able to contribute your ideas and make an impact on the Purdue community!​​

Executive Board

Senior Advisory Council

The President, Vice President of Internal Affairs, Vice President of Finance, and Vice President of External Relations of IISE are elected annually. They lead the board through their commitment to Purdue Industrial Engineering and IISE.

The Senior Advisory Council is made up of dedicated seniors who have invested significant time in IISE while at Purdue. Their job is to educate new members of the club and provide wisdom whenever needed.

The Professional Development Committee aids in the professional growth of all Purdue IE students. Committee members plan and deliver several workshops throughout the semester. Additionally, they organize the Six Sigma and Lean Green Belt Certification Weekends to help Purdue IEs prepare for their careers after graduation.

The Mentorship Committee promotes networking and advising throughout Purdue IISE. Members manage the BiggIE/SmallIE program with current IISE members, the 2-Way mentorship program with alumni, and the FreshIE program with First Year engineering students.

The Public Relations and Marketing Committee publicizes upcoming IISE events. This requires creating posters, logos, and social media posts. Committee members take pictures of events, design merchandise for the club, and manage the Purdue IISE website.

The Industry Relations Committee fosters relationships with our industry partners and provides opportunities for club members to meet and interact with companies. Committee members organize the Fall and Spring SIGMA Career Fairs and facilitate the Industry Sponsor Program with the School of IE.

The Community Engagement Committee provides opportunities for IISE members to get involved in the Purdue community. Committee members organize volunteering and philanthropy events. They also lead the club's efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels.

The Events Committee focuses on cultivating a sense of community among IISE members. Committee members organize retreats for Board members and social events for all Purdue IISE members.

Members of the Ambassadors Committee act as the face of Purdue Industrial Engineering. They interact with students, parents, and alumni of the School of Industrial Engineering at various Purdue events, including Fall Preview Days and Visit Days. Ambassadors share their love for IE through presentations and events for First Year Engineering students.​​​

The Conference Committee plans and organizes the Great Lakes IISE conference, which will be held at Purdue during the Spring 2025 semester. Committee members work on inviting guest speakers, securing company sponsorships, and coordinating events logistics.
